Frida Kahlo at The Frist

I went to see The Frist Museum's exhibit on Mexican Modernism. One of the highlights for me was the display of Frida Kahlo's outfits. I love the way she projected her creativity through the way she dressed. The clothes also reflect a pride in her heritage that comes through in her paintings. There is so much beauty and craftsmanship that goes into the hand weaving and embroidery that she so proudly showed off through her dress.

Where To Eat Vegan In Nashville Like a Local

I moved back to Nashville in 2011 and since then I’ve seen a lot of veggie restaurants come and go (RIP Khan’s). We are now in a golden age of Nashville vegan restaurants, and it’s just the beginning. At Nashville VegFest earlier this month, there was a line around the parking lot. It’s grown every year, and just shows how much Nashville loves good vegan food. We don’t have nearly as many vegan restaurants as New York or LA, but our best could hold their own against their best.
